A BRITISH research project that monitors the moods of 22,000 people has revealed that it's Tuesday, and not Monday, that people feel the worst.
George MacKerron, a PhD student at the London School of Economics, started the Mappiness project to understand how people’s feelings are affected by the environment they are in.Volunteers in the study use a free iPhone app to record how they feel, who they are with and what they are doing. Their location is logged by satellite.
The results show that people’s moods are lowest on Tuesday.
“It seems plausible that on Monday the weekend has not quite worn off,” George MacKerron told London's Telegraph newspaper.
