Is Telstra boss David Thodey Behind the times?

Online readers were this morning questioning the Telstra boss' grip on technology following remarks regarding usb and mobile broadband devices in a statement regarding broadband prices:

" a lot of people now are using these mobile cards that you put into your laptop to give you wireless broadband "

Cards? pcmcia cards? Surely he cant be referring to ?? one of these?

Bigpond Elite USB modem
Now Mr Thoday it doesnt take a 12 year old kid to tell you Telstra stopped offering "cards" sometime ago, in favour of the now industry standard USB based modem. Next time, just call it a "thingy" , and we'll know what your talking about...
